​2022 Winter Meeting Guest Speaker
William Marchant

William Marchant will be the special guest speaker at our next Region 5 Meeting on February 19, 2022, in Haynesville, GA. Druid City Daylily Garden is the hybridizing garden of William Marchant. It is located in Douglasville, GA just outside the city of Atlanta. William specializes in double, pattern, and toothy daylily hybrids. He has worked very diligently to produce plants with good hardiness, rust resistance, and great plant habit. He has been very selective to ensure that his introductions are not just “look alike” of other plants already on the market. William loves to work with dormant plants, and it has been his goal to have the majority of his introductions to exhibit dormancy. William has registered eighty-four daylilies with the AHS and has many new and impressive seedlings to evaluate each year.
