Flint River Daylily Society News

The Flint River Daylily Society met on 9/21/08 at the Northside Fire Department. President Carole Bradshaw called the meeting to order. Visitors were recognized. We had two new members. The invocation was given by Billy Dick. The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved. Linda gave a report on the awards from the daylily show. Our next show will be held on June 14, 2009. Carol reminded everyone of the Regional in Perry in June 09. Congratulations were given to Toopie Perkerson for the popularity poll win with H. ‘Rainbow Over GA’. Glenda gave the financial report. The club voted to cancel the December meeting with the Salters due to the costs involved.

Winfred Huff presented the program, “Backyard Daylilies”. After refreshments an auction was held. Door prizes were given and the meeting was adjourned.
